Realme 16 Pro Series 5G named official gaming phone for MAL MY Season 6

Realme has been named the official gaming phone partner for the MLBB Academy League (MAL) Malaysia Season 6, with the Realme 16 Pro Series 5G set to be used throughout the tournament. The announcement comes just ahead of the season’s playoffs later this week.

This isn’t the first time Realme has teamed up with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene. The brand’s devices have been picked as the official gaming phones for MAL in previous seasons, while the Realme 15 Pro was the Official Gaming Phone of the M7 World Championship.

As for the phone itself, the Realme 16 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which should make fast-paced team fights look smoother on screen.

Keeping it running is a large 7,000mAh Titan Battery, which should come in handy for long ranked sessions. The phone also comes with a cooling system designed to keep performance stable during extended gaming.

If you’d like to catch the action live, the MAL MY Season 6 Playoffs will take place from 23 to 25 October 2026 at Plaza South, Management and Science University (MSU). The playoffs will decide which team takes home the Season 6 title.
