Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz announced, compact pro-grade keyboard priced at RM789
Razer has announced the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, a new 60% gaming keyboard aimed at competitive players. It combines the company’s Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 with 8,000Hz HyperPolling and Razer’s full Advanced Input Control suite.
The new keyboard is the latest addition to Razer’s Huntsman V3 Pro lineup and is designed to provide more mouse space while retaining the input controls found on the larger models.
The Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz uses Razer’s second-generation Analog Optical Switches, with adjustable actuation between 0.1mm and 4.0mm. It also supports Rapid Trigger for faster repeated inputs, while Razer rates the switches for up to 100 million keystrokes.
Razer says the switches are factory calibrated to achieve 0.1mm precision and are individually lubricated. They are also mounted in a foam dampening layer, which the company says helps provide a smoother and quieter typing experience.
As its name suggests, the keyboard supports an 8,000Hz polling rate through Razer HyperPolling. Razer claims the keyboard achieved 0.48ms of latency in its testing, which it says is 26% faster than its nearest competitor.
The keyboard also includes Razer’s Advanced Input Control features, including Snap Flex, Snap Tap, Dynamic Keystroke and Dual-Keypress Priority. These are intended to give users more control over how key inputs are registered, particularly in competitive games.
Despite its compact 60% layout, the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz retains some additional functionality through its modifier keys, which can double as four-way arrow keys when tapped. Users can also adjust actuation and Rapid Trigger sensitivity directly from the keyboard without opening software.
Up to six profiles can be stored onboard, allowing users to switch between configurations across different PCs. The keyboard is also compatible with Synapse Web, letting users adjust settings and Razer Chroma RGB effects through a browser without installing Razer Synapse.
The keyboard uses a 5052 aluminium alloy top case with a brushed metal finish, alongside doubleshot PBT keycaps designed to resist shine and fading. Its 60% form factor is also intended to make the keyboard easier to carry to LAN events and tournaments.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz is priced at RM789, and is available for purchase from the Razer Malaysia website as well as select retailers nationwide.
