Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz: Hall Effect keyboards in TKL and 65%, from RM509
Razer has announced its new Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz series, expanding its esports keyboard lineup with a pair of Hall Effect magnetic keyboards. The new range comes in tenkeyless (TKL) and mini 65% form factors, targeting competitive gamers looking for faster and more customisable key inputs.
The big upgrade here is the use of Razer’s Hall Effect magnetic switches, which allows you to adjust actuation distance anywhere between 0.1mm and 4.0mm. This means you can configure each key for super precise inputs in competitive games or opt for a deeper actuation for everyday typing.
Like most premium Hall Effect keyboards, the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic also supports Rapid Trigger, allowing keys to reset dynamically based on movement instead of waiting for a fixed reset point. The switches themselves meanwhile are rated for up to 100 million keystrokes.
On top of that, the keyboard also offers true 8,000Hz polling rate which Razer claims will deliver an average input latency of 0.60ms when configured with 0.1mm actuation and 8,000Hz polling, making it around 8% faster than the nearest competing Hall Effect keyboard in its internal testing.
Snap Flex lets users assign one action when a key is pressed and another when it is released, while Dynamic Keystroke allows up to four different actions to be triggered depending on how far a key is pressed. Then there’s Instant Cancel Control which can cancel follow-up actions when needed, while Dual-Keypress Priority is designed to reduce accidental movement inputs during gameplay.
The new keyboards can be customised through Razer Synapse on Windows as expected, but also through Synapse Web, which can be access all from a browser. Profiles can be saved directly to the keyboard, making it easier to carry settings between different PCs or tournament setups.
Available from the Razer Malaysia website as well as from select retailers nationwide, the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz TKL is priced at RM599, while the mini 65% version is priced at RM509.
