Ragnarok Zero: Global launches on 18 August with new features for classic MMORPG

By Raymond Saw August 17, 2026

Fans of the classic MMORPG Ragnarok Online will be happy to know that the latest spin off of the classic title, Ragnarok Zero: Global, will officially launch worldwide on 18 August 2026.

Based on the original Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Zero: Global retains the classic MMORPG experience while adding modern systems aimed at making the game easier to play. According to its developer Gravity Game Unite, this includes a revamped UI and UX, auto-combat and optimised travel routes. It also introduces new episodes that expand the world of Midgard, along with several features not found in the original game.

During its second Open Beta Test, GGU introduced Get Poring and RO Factory, which is described as the first time user generated content (UGC) featured in the Ragnarok IP. Players can also take on the new MVP Raid content in Ragnazok Zero: Global.

GGU previously ran two Open Beta Tests for players in Southeast Asia, Europe and Oceania. The first OBT received positive feedback for its levelling system and localisation, while the second focused on the new content and features. Ragnarok Zero: Global will support eight languages, including English, Thai, German, French and Spanish.

Ragnarok Zero: Global is set to launch worldwide on 18 August 2026 for PC. You can already pre-register for it by clicking here to head to its website.
