Acer has announced their latest gaming laptop in Malaysia, the Predator Helios Neo 16. The Taiwanese giant is positioning this as powerful mainstream gaming laptop, with a high refresh rate display and capable hardware under the hood.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 will be available in five different configurations:

Predator Helios Neo 16 specs
The Predator Helios Neo 16 features a 16-inch IPS display, with either a WUXGA or a WQXGA resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio. Regardless of which resolution you end up with, you’ll still get a 180Hz refresh rate with a 3ms response time and full coverage of the sRGB colour coverage.
Powering the Helios Neo 16 are 14th Gen Intel Core processors with up to an Intel Core i7-14650HX along with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU. You’ll also get 16GB of DDR5 memory as standard, along with up to a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Keeping it all cool is their 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fan cooling system with vector heat pipes. There’s also a 92Whr battery keeping the lights on.
Other features of note include a 4-zone RGB keyboard, DTS X Ultra speakers, an FHD webcam, dual Thunderbolt Type C ports, Acer Intelligence Space for AI ready tools along with support for 2.5GB Ethernet and WiFi 6E connectivity.
