Predator Atlas 7: Intel-powered gaming handheld with TMR joysticks, Hall-effect triggers

By Raymond Saw September 3, 2026

Having previously announced the Predator Atlas 8 during Computex 2026, Acer has now announced its more compact sibling, the Predator Atlas 7.

The Predator Atlas 7 is more than just a shrink of the Atlas 8 though, with a new design that does look a bit like the original ROG Ally at first, but has a more sculpted build on its rear. Joining the contoured grips is an enlarged palm rest area, recessed keys and an anti-slip texture for better feel in hand. You’ll also find TMR joysticks and Hall-effect analog triggers along with programmable rear controls for more precise and durable controls.

Powering the Predator Atlas 7, just like the Atlas 8, will be up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor, with up to an Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics. That will be mated to up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Keeping it cool is a dual fan cooling system with a metal Predator AeroBlade fan packing 89 blades, while a secondary plastic fan helps channel hot air out of the chassis. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is up to an 80Wh battery.

The screen meanwhile is a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display, with a 1080p resolution pushing an up to 120Hz refresh rate, 500nits of brightness, full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut and support for variable refresh rate. There’s a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC over it for glare reduction too, along with an included 0.45mm 9H tempered glass screen protector with oleophobic matte finish.

Other features of note include customisable RGB lighting, a pair of 2W speakers with DTS:X Ultra, a dual mic setup with Acer PurifiedVoice, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, a fingerprint sensor as well as Intel Killer WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

Unfortunately at time of writing, there’s no word yet on if and when the Predator Atlas 7 will be making its way to Malaysia just yet, with Acer only confirming that it will be heading to North America in Q4 2026, with EMEA regions to get it by November 2026.
