Poco C81 Pro: Entry level smartphone with massive 6.9″ display, from just RM389
Xiaomi has announced a new entry level smartphone in their Poco sub-brand, the Poco C81 Pro. It’s a budget-friendly option with some nice-to-have features, such as a massive display and a rated battery life of up to two days.

The Poco C81 Pro will be available in Malaysia from 22 May onwards. Available in three storage options, here’s how much the Poco C81 Pro costs:
- Poco C81 Pro 64GB – RM399
- Poco C81 Pro 128GB – RM429
- Poco C81 Pro 256GB – RM529
You’ll be able to get it from the Xiaomi Malaysia website as well as their official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, early birds can also snag the Poco C81 Pro for just RM389, RM429 and RM479 respectively for the three storage variants.
Poco C81 Pro specs
The Poco C81 Pro is a pretty big smartphone, with its 6.9-inch LCD display pushing a HD+ resolution capable of an up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 800nits of peak brightness in high brightness mode, 83% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut and TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly and Flicker Free certifications.
Under the hood, the entry level device is powered by the entry level Unisoc T7250 system-on-chip, with the 12nm processor mated to 4GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It does however come with HyperOS 3 out of the box, with Xiaomi guaranteeing at least 48 months of a smooth software experience.
As for its cameras, despite the camera bump it does only have one functional 13MP, f/2.2 camera flanked by an auxiliary lens, while up front is an 8MP, f/2.0 selfie shooter. Both cameras are capable of recording up to 1080p 30fps video.
Other features of note include a large 6,000mAh battery capable of 2.37 days of use, 15W wired charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, a down-firing speaker capable of up to 200% volume boost and three colour options ranging from Black and Green to Gold.
