Got old gadgets lying around? Petrosains is offering freebies if you recycle them at KLCC

If you’ve been letting old and unusable gadgets pile up at home, now’s the chance to let them all go – responsibly, of course. In conjunction with Earth Day, a cohort of high-profile organizations is joining hands to run a month-long e-waste collection campaign.
The organizations making this happen are Petrosains, PETRONAS Digital, Suria KLCC, ERTH, Inside Scoop, and Sangkaya.

The campaign runs from 22 April to 22 May 2025, with drop-off points set up at three convenient locations around KLCC. The motive is simple – to encourage everyone to recycle old gadgets the right way. All you need to do is bring your old devices to any of the drop-off locations and slip them into the prepared e-waste recycling bins.
You can find the designated drop-off points at:
- Petrosains, KLCC – Hotscience Area
- PETRONAS Twin Towers Visit Experience – Concourse Lobby
- Suria KLCC – P1 Entrance (near Maybank & Zara)

Though not all kinds of electronic devices are accepted, the campaign accepts e-waste from a variety of categories, including computers, laptops, CPUs, flat-screen monitors, projectors, tablets, and smartphones.

To incentivize citizens to participate, Petrosains is offering a free ride on its Energy Capsule to those who recycle PCs, laptops, and CPUs. Those who recycle smartphones, TVs, tablets, projectors, or monitors will enjoy free access to Petrosains’ Maker Studio.
