Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan revealed as U Mobile ambassadors

U Mobile has announced Malaysian badminton stars Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan as its latest brand ambassadors, following the recent launch of its new ULTRA5G products and services. The women’s doubles pair, currently ranked world number two, will front the telco’s latest offerings, in particular the new Ultra Family 128 postpaid plan.

According to U Mobile, the partnership is a natural fit, with the company positioning its plans as ideal for users with active, travel-heavy lifestyles. This is in part because the Ultra Family 128 plan comes with built-in global roaming across more than 60 destinations and free incoming calls while abroad. It also allows data sharing, which U Mobile says ensures seamless connectivity across multiple devices and users.

To celebrate the partnership, U Mobile will host a public meet-and-greet session with Pearly and Thinaah at its Sunway Pyramid flagship store on 16 May, from 1PM to 4PM. You’ll not only have an opportunity to meet your national badminton idols but also stand a chance to win exclusive merchandise.

In addition, U Mobile has also signed on as the official event partner for the Perodua Malaysia Masters presented by Daihatsu, which will take place from 19 to 24 May 2026.
