nubia Flip 5G will launch on 15th April at RM3,999; Get RM1,500 OFF with early bird sales
China-based smartphone brand nubia will mark its debut into the flip phone scene with the nubia Flip 5G. The brand has since confirmed its launch in Malaysia, with the Flip 5G slated for release on the 15th of April 2024.
This latest clamshell foldable will come in a single 8GB+256GB configuration, donning a price tag of RM3,999 when it officially hits the shelves.
Prior to that, nubia has announced that there will be a Super Early Bird promo, one which will see prices drop to RM2,499. The promo will run exclusively on nubia’s flagship store on Lazada attainable via redeemable vouchers on the platform. The vouchers are on a first come first serve basis, and will be up for grabs only until 17th April 2024.
Subsequently, an open sale promo will run from 18th April until 15th May, where customers can purchase the Flip 5G at just RM2,899 on Lazada.

As mentioned earlier, the nubia Flip 5G will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with performance further optimized with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.
When clammed shut, the Flip 5G reveals a circular external display which allows users to keep track of essential notifications and basic information. The phone opens up to reveal a 6.9″ internal display offering 2790×1188 resolution, 120Hz maximum refresh rates, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The Flip 5G comes with dual 50MP rear cameras located on the thick circular rims of the external display. Else where, a 16MP front camera can be found at the top of the internal display.
In terms of longevity, the nubia Flip 5G runs on a 4,310mAh battery supporting 33W wired charging. nubia claims that the hinges on the Flip 5G can handle up to 200,000 folds.
