New DJI Dock 2 and DJI FlyCart 30 offer logistical solutions to enterprises

April 25, 2024

Aonic, the national distributor of DJI Enterprise solutions in Malaysia, has officially announced its latest expansion into the logistics sector by acquiring the distribution rights to DJI Delivery.

The news comes in conjunction with the launch of two new DJI products, the DJI Dock 2 and DJI FlyCart 30. The freshly launched drones aims to provide logistical solutions to the industrial and services sector via air mobility.

“Our dedication to delivering end-to-end solutions and assistance across diverse industries has led to Aonic’s selection as the national distributor of DJI Delivery. With a dedicated division for DJI Delivery, Aonic underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive support and innovative solutions to businesses seeking to embrace the future of air mobility,” says Cheong Jin Xi, founder and CEO of Aonic.

DJI Dock 2

The DJI Dock 2 is DJI’s latest transportable “Drone in a Box” solution. Among the features on the Dock 2 is an Environmental Monitoring System with weather forecasting intended to warn drone pilots of weather-related flight risks.

Additionally, it is also able to determine strength of GNSS signals to ensure suitable site selection before deployment.

The Dock 2 is sold with the option of either the DJI Matrice 3D or the Matrice 3TD. Both options are equipped with a wide-angle camera as well as a tele camera. However, cameras on the Matrice 3D offer higher resolution, thus making it a suitable option for high-precision mapping.

The Matrice 3TD, on the other hand, is equipped with an infrared camera for thermal imaging best suited for security and inspection tasks.

As for pricing, the DJI Dock 2 with Matrice 3D is officially priced at RM57,000, while the Dock 2 with Matrice 3TD is priced at RM64,000.

Additionally, businesses can acquire access to DJI’s cloud-based management tool – FlightHub 2 – for RM4,700 a year, RM13,400 for three years, or RM22,000 for five years.

DJI FlyCart 30

Moving on, the DJI FlyCart 30 is DJI’s first ever drone under DJI Delivery. The FlyCart 30 looks to solve delivery solutions relating to off-shore transport, as well as providing quick solutions to emergency situations.

The drone is able to travel 16km with a 30kg payload, or 8km with a 40kg payload with a single battery.

As for flight time, the FlyCart 30 will run for 18 minutes with a 30kg payload, and 9 minutes with a 40kg payload.

The drone has two methods of delivery, the first being Cargo Mode, which carries necessities in an Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) case provided. The second is Winch Mode, which uses a retractable cable and hook for lighter objects, such as a life vest and a safety float for ocean-related incidents.

The DJI FlyCart 30 is officially priced from RM105,800 inclusive of the aircraft, a DJI DB2000 Intelligent Flight Battery, a DJI C8000 Intelligent Battery Station, and the DJI RC Plus. The Winch system can be included with an add-on price of RM18,600.
