Meet the new Xbox Nano Controller, proving that size isn’t everything

Microsoft has a long history of special edition Xbox controllers, but the Xbox Nano Controller is almost certainly their smallest one yet. This miniaturised controller isn’t just more portable for gamers, but will also support multiple platforms too from Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, to smartphones and even select smart TVs.

The Xbox Nano Controller measures in at just a little over 5 inches in length and weighs just under 100g, making it lighter and smaller than even most smartphones these days. Despite that, it still packs the standard 18 button gameplay layout, with its two joysticks, D-pad, ABXY keys and shoulder triggers and bumpers.

There’s a programmable Action Button too, which you can use to take screenshots, capture gameplay or map to any other shortcut you with. For connectivity, you can hook it up to Xbox consoles via Xbox Wireless, or via Bluetooth on PCs, tablets, smartphones and compatible smart TVs. The internal battery meanwhile can be quickly topped up via any ol’ USB-C cable.

Unfortunately, despite Microsoft already officially selling the regular Xbox controllers in Malaysia, it seems like it won’t be coming to Malaysia for now:
Players can pre-order the XBOX Nano Controller beginning today for $49.99 USD. It will be available beginning in November in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Czechia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with additional markets to follow.”
Nevertheless, if you’re interested in checking it out, you can at least still click here to head over to its product page over on the Xbox website.
