MacBook Neo now available for purchase in Malaysia

By Raymond Saw April 6, 2026

A month after being announced on the global stage, the MacBook Neo is finally here in Malaysia. This is Apple’s cheapest laptop offering of course, starting from just RM2,499, making it an excellent entry way for any students or casual users needing a laptop.

At time of writing, the Apple Store Pickup option is not yet available, with deliveries being the only option for now. Based on some quick checks, those residing in Kuala Lumpur should get it between 14 to 16 April, with surrounding areas like Petaling Jaya getting it between 15 to 17 April, so you should be able to get your MacBook Neo by around mid-April if you order one today.

For a quick recap, the MacBook Neo starts at just RM2,499 for the base model with 256GB of storage, while for RM2,899 you get 512GB of storage and Touch ID for easy login and biometric authentication. The aluminum chassis weighs just 1.23kg light and 1.27cm thin, housing a 13-inch Liquid Retina IPS display with a 2408 x 1506p resolution capable of 500nits of brightness.

It’s powered by the Apple A18 Pro system-on-chip, a six core CPU with two performance cores and four efficiency cores. There’s also a 5-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine and a 60GB/s memory bandwidth. Memory is limited to just 8GB of unified memory though, with no options for more or less.

Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 36.5Wh battery that’s good for up to 16 hours of video streaming, and it comes with two USB-C ports too though only one has display output. You’ll be able to get the MacBook Neo in Citrus, Blush, Indigo and Silver colourways.

If you’re keen on checking out the MacBook Neo yourself, you can click here to head to the Apple Malaysia website.
