MacBook Neo Gaming Test 2026: Can a Budget Mac Run Cyberpunk? (Dota 2 & Valheim)

Can Apple’s new budget-friendly MacBook Neo actually handle AAA gaming? Powered by the A18 Pro chip, we put this fanless machine to the ultimate test with three very different titles.

The Results:

• Cyberpunk 2077: Surprisingly playable! You’ll need to stick to Very Low settings, and you might encounter some slight stuttering in busy areas, but it’s impressive nonetheless.
• Dota 2: Smooth for the most part. However, keep an eye on your FPS during heavy team fights when the spells start flying—it can drop occasionally.
• Valheim: A solid experience. Mostly playable with only minor frame drops while exploring dense biomes.

Verdict: While it’s not a dedicated gaming rig, the MacBook Neo is a surprisingly capable companion for casual gamers on the go.
