Logitech G512 X gaming keyboard supports both analog and mechanical switches, from RM799

Logitech has introduced the new Logitech G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Catchy name aside, this is a modular gaming keyboard designed for gamers who want deeper customisation and analog-style control.

The G512 X combines analog and mechanical switch support, high-speed 8K polling, and pressure-sensitive key inputs that allow multiple actions on a single keypress. It has what Logitech calls Dual Swap capability, allowing users to mix analog and traditional mechanical switches on the same keyboard.

Tunnel Magneto Resistance (TMR) sensors enable detection of how deeply a key is pressed instead of just registering an on or off input. The G512 X supports up to 39 hybrid TMR switch slots, compatible with most 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches as well as analog switches.

The keyboard ships with 9 Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches, typically intended for keys like WASD where analog movement control matters most. This lets gamers tailor specific keys for precision movement while keeping standard mechanical switches for the rest of the board.

The rest of the keyboard’s hardware is as you’d expect from a high end gaming keyboard. This includes 8K polling and reporting rates, key priotiry settings, dual programmable dials for volume control or any other macros, as well as an RGB lightbar design. Other than the extra analog switches, you’ll also find a keycap puller and SAPP rings in the box.

Available in both 75-key and 98-key layouts, the G512 X will go on sale from 16 May onwards via Logitech’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as from their authorised retailers nationwide. The 75-key will be priced at RM799, while the 98-key costs RM829; an optional palm rest addon meanwhile is available for RM169.
