LG’s New PuriCare ATOM-U Is an Undersink Water Purifier That Saves Your Kitchen from Clutter
LG Malaysia has officially introduced the new PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier, marking its entry as an under-sink solution designed to reduce countertop clutter. Launched in tandem with the company’s subscription service rebrand from LG Rent-up to LG Subscribe, this model is built to be discreet with only its faucet visible above the sink surface.
The ATOM-U features a 4-Stage All Puri Filter System, which is claimed to remove 99.99% of norovirus and other harmful substances from water. To maintain hygiene, it includes two forms of sterilization: high-temperature sterilization from the filter to the water outlet, and UVnano technology that sterilizes the inside of the nozzle for 10 minutes every hour. The faucet itself can swivel 180 degrees, offering more flexibility during use.
Users can access hot water in three temperature presets—40°C, 75°C, and 85°C—adjustable via a touch control panel located at the top of the faucet. There’s also volume control for precise dispensing. A built-in Purity lamp on the faucet serves as a filter replacement reminder.
The ATOM-U is compatible with LG’s ThinQ platform, allowing users to monitor the unit’s status in real-time, manage water usage, and automate sterilization schedules through a smartphone app. It is available in Silver and Solid Black colour options.

The LG PuriCare ATOM-U Water Purifier is available through LG Subscribe with multiple plan options tailored to different maintenance preferences. For self-service, the purifier is priced at RM5,200 for an outright purchase with two years of self-maintenance. Monthly subscription plans range from RM100 to RM140 depending on duration and maintenance type.
For regular maintenance visits by LG, prices start at RM6,000 outright with two years of service, or from RM110 to RM150 per month for various plan durations and coverage.
