KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit fares to increase from 1 January 2027

By Alyaa Najwa September 30, 2026

KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit fares are going up next year, with operator Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) announcing that its revised fares will take effect from 1 January 2027. This marks ERL’s first fare revision since 2016, with the company citing significantly higher operating and maintenance costs as the reason behind the adjustment.

Under the new fare structure, a one-way adult ticket between KL Sentral and KLIA Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 will cost RM65, up from the current RM55. Adults making a return trip on the same route will pay RM118. For children aged six to 15, the one-way fare on this sector will be RM29, while a return ticket will cost RM53.

Fares for other sectors along the line will also be adjusted. Here are the revised KLIA Transit fares:

Passengers may still be able to save on their journeys next year, as ERL is working with several partners to offer exclusive ticket discounts of up to 30% starting January 2027. More details will be announced once the arrangements are finalised.
