Infinix is adding another budget option to the Malaysian market with the Infinix Smart 20e. This entry-level smartphone is pitched at students, young professionals and small-business owners, and focuses on everyday durability with a few nice-to-have features such as a high refresh rate display and louder speakers.

Infinix Smart 20e Malaysia pricing and availability

Available in Deep Cherry, Hush Blue, Silver Dance and Night Pulse colourways, the Infinix Smart 20e will come in two configurations:

  • Infinix Smart 20e, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage – RM549
  • Infinix Smart 20e, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage – RM599

The Infinix Smart 20e will be available from 9 October onwards, from Infinix’s official stores on Shopee and TikTok Shop as well as Infinix Brand Stores nationwide.

Infinix Smart 20e specs and features

The main selling point of the Infinix Smart 20e is its durability, with the phone combining a reinforced structure with an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating. It has also passed MIL-STD-810H shock-resistance testing, and Infinix says it has been tested to survive drops of up to 1.5 metres in its own lab.

The display meanwhile offers an up to 120Hz refresh rate and a high brightness mode of up to 700nits for better visibility outdoors. There’s also rain-responsive touch, which keeps the screen usable when it gets wet, handy for when you need to check directions in a sudden downpour.

Under the hood, the Infinix Smart 20e is powered by a Unisoc T7250 system-on-chip, an entry-level mobile chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

As for its cameras, the Infinix Smart 20e keeps things simple with a single 8MP camera on the back, while a 5MP selfie shooter sits in a hole-punch cutout at the top of the display.

Infinix has also included a battery self-healing feature, which uses a low-intensity current to address the microscopic changes caused by repeated charging and help slow down battery ageing over time.

Other features of note include a 200% volume boost for calls and media in noisy surroundings, as well as Flash Sharing, which lets you transfer files by tapping the back of the phone against a compatible NFC-enabled Transsion device without using mobile data.
