No, it’s not a case déjà vu. Infinix did launch the NOTE 40 series back in March this year, debuting both the NOTE 40 Pro and NOTE 40.

Now, Infinix is adding to that tally with the 5G version of the NOTE 40, unsurprisingly christened the NOTE 40 5G. This latest addition is already up for pre-orders, with official sales starting on the second week of June. The Infinix NOTE 5G is priced at RM1,299, and is available for purchase on Infinix’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

Despite missing out on the Pro label, the NOTE 40 5G takes its place on the top-most tier of the series. For the record, the non-5G NOTE 40 is priced at RM898, while the NOTE 40 Pro 5G sits in the middle with a retail price or RM1,098.

The NOTE 40 5G has the biggest configuration in the series with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, with storage expandable up to 2TB. Performance is further helped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, which is the same chip you’ll find on the Pro variant.

Is shares exactly the same displays as its siblings, this being a 6.78″ AMOLED with Full HD+ (1080p) resolution, offering 120Hz refresh rates and 1,300nits peak brightness. Similarly, it comes with Infinix’s self-developed Cheetah X1 chip to help in charging capabilities. On that note, the NOTE 40 5G runs on a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging, as well as 15W wireless MagCharge.

On the rear panels sits the tri-camera setup consisting of a 108MP OIS main camera, flanked by two other 2MP cameras. Flip the phone to the front and you’ll find its 32MP selfie shooter.

The Infinix NOTE 40 5G comes in two colours: Titan Gold and Obsidian Black.
