Infinix Hot 70: RM649 smartphone with one-tap AI button, up to 5 years of updates

Infinix has announced their latest smartphone in Malaysia, the Infinix Hot 70. This entry level device might be relatively affordable but still manages to come with a number of nice-to-have features that belies its price tag.

The Infinix Hot 70 will be available in just a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at RM649. It goes on sale from 5 June onwards, and you can find it on the official Infinix store on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop as well as their retail stores nationwide.

As part of their launch promotion, if you get the Hot 70 you’ll also be getting a complimentary 3-month Google AI Plus subscription, giving you access to Google’s latest AI tools and 2TB of cloud storage.

Infinix Hot 70 specs

Available in Green, Silver and Black colourways, the Infinix Hot 70 measures 7.49mm thin and 195g light. It holds a 6.78-inch LCD display pushing a HD+ resolution with an up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 700nits of peak brightness.

Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 70 comes with a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate system-on-chip, a 4G-only processor that’s been mated to 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. It comes with Android 16 out of the box skinned with XOS 16 over it, and they’re guaranteeing 3 major Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates for the Hot 70.

As for cameras, you get a single 50MP main camera here with a secondary auxiliary lens on the back, while an 8MP selfie shooter sits up front. Keeping the lights on is a 6000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, along with 10W reverse wired charging too.

Other features include stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack and an IP65 dust and water resistance rating. You’ll also find a one-tap AI button on the side, which lets you quickly pull up tools like Google Gemini or ChatGPT as well as their own One Tap AI FlashMemo note-taking tool.
