Huawei Pura 90s series now officially available on shelves in Malaysia, from RM3,699

After making its global debut and then becoming available for pre-order in Malaysia, Huawei has finally announced the full availability of the Huawei Pura 90s series, their latest flagship smartphones for the global market.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max are now available for purchase in Malaysia, priced at RM3,999 and RM4,899 respectively. However, early birds will be able to snag them for just RM3,699 and RM4,499, as well as a mystery gift worth RM999 and a Huawei Premium Services package worth RM1,677. You can find these deals over on the Huawei Malaysia website, their official store on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop as well as from all Huawei Experience Stores nationwide.

Huawei Pura 90s series specs and features

As a quick recap, the Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max are their latest flagships in Malaysia, powered by their own Kirin 9030S system-on-chip with 12GB of memory and 512GB of memory. They also come with the new EMUI 16 OS based on a heavily modified Android 16 out of the box.

The main difference between the Pro and Pro Max though is the size, with the Pura 90s Pro rocking a 6.6-inch, 2760 x 1256 OLED display while the Pro Max gets a 6.9-inch, 2880 x 1308 OLED panel. Both come with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a pixel density of 460PPI.

As for cameras, both devices get a 50MP, f/1.4-4.0 main shooter with a variable aperture, but the Pro Max gets a 200MP, f/2.6 telephoto shooter offering 4x optical zoom and a 40MP, f/2.2 ultrawide, while the Pro gets a 50MP, f/2.1 telephoto with 4x optical zoom and a 12.5MP, f/2.2 ultrawide instead. They both also get a 13MP, f/2.0 front camera for your selfies.

Keeping the lights on for the Pura 90s Pro and Pro Max meanwhile is a 6,000mAh battery, standard across the two, with support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging on the Pro, while the Pro Max gets 100W wired and 80W wireless instead.

Other features of note for the Pura 90s series include side-mounted fingerprint sensors, stereo speakers, IP68/69 dust and water resistance ratings as well as support for WiFI 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 wireless connectivity.

In conjunction with the Pura 90s series launch in Malaysia, Huawei is also launching the Pura Trip Photography campaign. Officiated by the Tourism Minister Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, from now till 16 August Malaysians can take part in it for a chance to win a Huawei Pura 90s series device. Here’s how it works:
