Huawei introduces Nova 15 Max alongside new wearables for kids and runners

Alongside the launch of the MatePad Pro Max, Huawei has also introduced several new devices in Malaysia, including the Huawei Nova 15 Max smartphone, the Huawei Watch Kids X1 Series, and the Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition.

The new additions further expand Huawei’s ecosystem by catering to different user groups, from everyday smartphone users and families to fitness enthusiasts and runners.

Malaysia pricing and availability

The Huawei Nova 15 Max is available now at RM1,699. Buyers will also receive complimentary gifts worth up to RM827, including a RM200 rebate and a Huawei Band 10.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Watch Kids X1 Pro is priced at RM1,599, while the Huawei Watch Kids X1 is available for RM999. Both models are currently open for pre-order and come with free gifts worth up to RM808, including a one-year Huawei Care+ subscription and one-year APAC warranty.

The Huawei Watch Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition is priced at RM1,499 and includes complimentary gifts worth up to RM491, such as a one-year APAC warranty, an additional fluoroelastomer watch strap and a three-month Huawei Health+ subscription.

All devices are available through Huawei’s official online and retail channels.

Huawei Nova 15 Max specs

The Huawei Nova 15 Max is available in Blush Gold and Golden Black, featuring a slim design while housing a sizeable 8,500mAh battery. It is powered by a Kirin 8000 Series chipset, paired with intelligent power optimisation features to support longer daily usage. It also supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo and reverse charging.

Up front, the phone features a 6.84-inch OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2756 × 1272 resolution and up to 4,000 nits peak brightness. Huawei has also included 2160Hz PWM dimming for a more comfortable viewing experience.

For cameras, the Nova 15 Max comes with a 50MP RYYB Ultra-Clear Camera, paired with a 2MP Ultra Lighting Camera. The main sensor is sized at 1/1.56-inch and supports AIS stabilisation, while the front uses an 8MP selfie camera.

Another useful addition is the X Button, which gives users quick access to selected functions such as Smart Remote, widgets and quick calling. The phone also comes with stereo speakers, SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance Certification, IP65 water and dust resistance, 256GB storage and EMUI 14.2.

Huawei Watch Kids X1 Series specs

Huawei is also entering the family smartwatch segment with the Watch Kids X1 Series. The Watch Kids X1 is available in Pink and Blue, while the Watch Kids X1 Pro comes in Black and Purple.

The series comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display and HD cameras positioned on both the front and rear. The Watch Kids X1 Pro additionally features a standalone detachable rotating camera, allowing children to capture photos and videos from different angles.

The smartwatch includes real-time location awareness and communication features, helping parents keep track of their children while offering greater independence for young users.

Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition specs

The Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition is designed with a lightweight 43mm body that weighs around 34.5g without the strap.

It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 466 × 466 resolution, housed in a titanium alloy front case with a fibre-reinforced composite rear case. Huawei also includes an AirDry Woven Strap, together with an extra fluoroelastomer strap in the box.

For training and outdoor activities, the watch supports dual-band and multi-system GNSS, along with up to 32 hours of battery life in outdoor workout mode. It also supports up to 14 days of light usage or seven days of typical usage.

Beyond running, the Watch GT Runner 2 also comes with ECG support, 5 ATM water resistance, IP69 rating and free diving support up to 40 metres, making it suitable for users who want a more versatile sports smartwatch.
