GoPro has officially announced the MISSION 1 PRO ILS, expanding its MISSION 1 series with an ultra-compact 8K cinema camera that features an interchangeable Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lens mount. Weighing just 197 grams, it is engineered for filmmakers who require high-end visual flexibility inside tight spaces or rugged shooting environments.
GoPro has always been known for its compact form factor in rugged conditions, and the small form factor did have physical limitations in terms of depth of field, zoom and also usage of the usual camera filters for cinematic shots.
With the Mission 1 Pro ILS, users now can mount the lenses of their choice to achieve cinematic shots in compact and rugged conditions, where traditional cameras would not dare to put themselves in.
