DJI Osmo 360 II Malaysia: 8K60FPS, 360° imaging with 1″ sensor, from RM2,189

DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II in Malaysia, its latest flagship 360° camera with 8K 60fps recording, a 1-inch square HDR sensor and 105GB of built-in storage.
The successor to the original Osmo 360, the DJI Osmo 360 II uses a new 1-inch square HDR sensor that they claim delivers up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range. It can shoot 360° video at up to 8K 60fps, while AI SuperNight 2.0 is designed to improve image quality in low-light conditions.

It can also capture 120MP HDR 360° photos, 16K 360° timelapses and 8K 120fps Vortex footage. All video modes support 10-bit colour too, with D-Log M available for creators who want more flexibility when editing.
The camera itself weighs 183g and has 105GB of built-in storage. DJI claims up to 100 minutes of recording at 8K 30fps, while fast charging can bring the battery to 80% in around 22 minutes. An optional Battery Extension Rod can add up to 180 minutes of additional runtime.

For action sports, the Osmo 360 II is waterproof to 10 metres without a case and can go down to 50 metres with DJI’s Invisible Waterproof Case. It can also operate at temperatures as low as -20°C.
One of the more interesting upgrades though is the replaceable lens design. DJI says the ultra-hard lens coating improves scratch resistance, while damaged lenses can be replaced instead of replacing the entire camera.

The Osmo 360 II also supports Spotlight Follow for automatic subject tracking, NFC for quick pairing with the DJI Mimo app and direct microphone connectivity with DJI’s wireless mic lineup. It uses DJI’s dual-direction quick-release system and also has a standard 1/4-inch thread for mounting accessories.
The DJI Osmo 360 II is now available for pre-order on the DJI Malaysia website, and starts at RM2,189 for the Standard Combo, rising to RM2,299 for the Limitless Riding Combo and finally RM2,629 for the Adventure Combo; at time of writing though, only the Standard Combo appears to be available.

On top of that, DJI Care Refresh, their comprehensive protection plan for DJI products is now available for the Osmo 360 II. Those who purchase and activate an eligible DJI Osmo 360 II before the end of this month will get a free year of DJI Care Refresh, granting you protection coverage for accidental damage, such as water damage, collisions and natural wear.
