Nothing sub-brand CMF by Nothing has released three audio buds to their 2025 lineup. The new additions were unveiled alongside the CMF Phone 2 Pro at a global launch last night.

The CMF Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus, and Buds 2a are marketed as budget offerings across different price points. There’s bound to be some confusion with the new naming conventions, so let’s get into it.

The CMF Buds 2 Plus tags the highest price among the three. Even then, the RM229 retail price means it still sits in the affordable range. The buds are equipped with Hi-Res LDAC enabling better sound quality. The Buds 2 Pro also offers full EQ customization via the Nothing X app for users to tailor audio according to their taste. The CMF Buds 2 Plus are available in Blue and Light Grey, and is sold exclusively online.

Moving down the ladder, the CMF Buds 2 is the middle child in the line-up. Sporting a RM199 price tag, there isn’t a drastic difference in the amount you need to fork out. The Buds 2 offers Dirac Opteo tuning, along with 48dB hybrid ANC and Spatial Audio features for refined listening. Available in Dark Grey, Light Green, and Orange, the buds will be available both online and at partnering retailers.

Lastly, the CMF Buds 2a is the most affordable option in the line-up. According to CMF, this is the go-to entry level option in the series. It features a 12.4mm bio-fibre driver, with 42dB ANC to block out external noise. The CMF Buds 2a is priced at RM159, and comes in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Orange.
