Asus V500 SFF: Tiny and silent 8.6L PC with an Intel Core 7, from as low as RM2,899

Asus Malaysia has introduced their latest prebuilt desktop PC in Malaysia, the refreshed Asus V500 SFF (V501SV). This home-focused PC is built to not only offer smooth performance for work and entertainment but also remain silent under load while fitting any modern home.

The V500 SFF chassis features a woven-weave finish, complete with rounded edges and a neutral-warm 4000K indicator light. The chassis itself measures just 94.6 x 294.3 x 308.6mm for a small 8.6L form factor, and weighs just 5.06kg.

Under the hood, the V500 SFF is powered by the Intel Core 7 240H processor, with 16GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory that can be upgraded down the line. Similarly, there’s a 512GB NVMe PCIe 4 SSD out of the box, but with two M.2 2280 slots, two more SATA ports and a PCIe 4.0 slot, there’s plenty of room for expansion as and when you need it. Powering it is an 80 PLUS Platinum 330W power supply for incredible efficiency.

To keep it all cool, there’s an advanced thermal architecture built into the V500 SFF. This includes a compact air cooler with copper heat pipes to draw heat away from the CPU and expel it out of the chassis. Asus says that with this thermal solution you’re able to keep it running at below 22dB in whisper mode for quiet and silent operation.

As for I/O, you’ll find a 3.5mm combo audio jack on the front along with two USB-A 3.2 ports and a USB-C 3.1 port. Meanwhile, on the rear you’ll get a Gigabit Ethernet port, a HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4 output, 7.1 channel audio, a Kensington lock, a Padlock loop and four more USB-A 2.0 ports. The V500 SFF also comes with support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.

It comes with Windows 11 Home out of the box, along with Microsoft Office Home 2024 and 1-year of Microsoft 365 Basic with 100GB OneDrive included. There’s also 3-year onsite warranty as part of the package, on top of the premium solid capacitors and enterprise-grade durability.
