The ASUS Fragrance Mouse ensures you’ll never deal with a smelly mouse again
Your mouse stinks, and we don’t want to know why. Anyway, ASUS’ new Fragrance Mouse is your solution for your cooped-up man/woman cave.
If you’re wondering what this Fragrance Mouse is – well, it’s a mouse with fragrance. It essentially works as a 2-in-1 mouse and scent diffuser, though the scent-emitting technology isn’t as complex as the typical scent diffuser. That is to say, there’s no heating element to evaporate the oils; instead, the fragrance is released slowly over time.
To make this work, the mouse features a compartment with a refillable vial for essential oils or other fragrances. The vial is located just beneath the battery holder, and you’ll see it immediately when you remove the bottom lid.
Based on our brief hands-on experience, the fragrance was certainly noticeable. It won’t permeate the room as thoroughly as scent diffusers, but your nose will definitely catch the smell when you’re standing in close vicinity.
You pretty much have all the free will in the world to decide what scent you want in the vial. However, ASUS did recommend some brands, including scents from Aesop, Hooga, Muji, The Body Shop, and even Daiso.
The mouse itself is ergonomically designed with a curved thumb rest. It supports dual-mode connectivity either via 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth, and has adjustable DPI levels of 1200dpi, 1600dpi, and 2400dpi. ASUS claims the mouse has a 10-million-click lifespan.
The ASUS Fragrance Mouse will retail for RM169 and will be available at all authorized ASUS resellers starting June 2025. The mouse comes in two colours: Rose Clay and Iridescent White.
