New Apple iPad Air now powered by M2 chip; New 13-inch model available
A series of new iPads are in town. Apple’s ‘Let Loose’ marked the introduction of the new iPad Pro along with the reinvigorated iPad Air. We’ve touched a bit on the iPad Pro, so now let’s look at the iPad Air.
The gist of the keynote is that the iPad Air is now powered by the newer M2 chip. As such, you can expect the tablet to operate nearly 50% faster than the 2022 models running on the M1.
There’s also the addition of a 13-inch model now for those seeking more screen real estate. Regardless of whether you’re opting for the 11-inch or 13-inch model, they will come decked with Liquid Retina Display.
Also, the front-facing camera has now been relocated to the longer, landscape border, while the back camera remains a 12MP wide lens.
For colours, you have the choice of Blue, Purple, Starlight, or Space Grey.
Like the iPad Pro, prices have already been made available, but it will only be up for purchase at a later date. For now, here’s the official pricing of the 2024 iPad Air in Malaysia.
