AMD-powered ROG Zephyrus G14 now on shelves; Price starts RM7,999
Not long after the announcement of its Intel-powered ROG Zephyrus G16 line-up, ASUS has now launched the AMD versions of the Zephyrus G14.
The two variants available differ only in the graphics and memory-storage department, with the upscaled model boasting the RTX 4060 GPU with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage while the less-costly option gets the RTX4050 GPU with 16GB RAM and 1TB. What’s consistent is the Ryzen 9 8945 processor that comes in both models.
The AMD-powered ROG Zephyrus G14 is already available in Malaysia, with the official pricing listed below:
- ROG Zephyrus G14, Ryzen 9 8945HS, RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB/1TB, Eclipse Grary – RM8,999
- ROG Zephyrus G14, Ryzen 9 8945HS, RTX 4050 GPU, 16GB/1TB, Eclipse Gray OR Platinum White – RM7,999
Graphics unit and memory differences aside, you can expect the rest of the Zephyrus G14 to share the same qualities. In unison with the facelift of the Intel-powered Zephyrus G16, the latest Zephyrus G14 will also receive the new Slash Array design. If you’re unfamiliar, the Slash Array is a strip of LED lights that cuts diagonally across the lid which can be customized to your desired sequence.
Overall built has also received an upgrade, with the laptop getting a weight reduction down to 1.5kg and a thickness of only 1.59cm.
Other than that, the Zephyrus G14 is fitted with a 14″ ROG Nebula Display OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The displays boast 3K (2880x1800p) resolution and 120Hz refresh rates.
For connectivity, the Zephyrus supports up to Wi-Fi 6E, as well as Bluetooth 5.3. It comes with a variety of ports, including 1x USB4 (supports DisplayPort / Power Delivery), 1x Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 2, 2x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x Micro SD Card Reader (UHS II), and an audio jack.
Other noteworthy features includes a 1-zone RGB backlit keyboard, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, two-way AI noise cancellation for microphone and incoming audio, as well as a 73Wh battery.
