Acer EP130K: This 13.3″ portable monitor has a 60Hz colour eInk display

During their global press conference in Berlin, Acer showcased a number of new monitors, but one of their more unique ones might just be the Acer EP130K, a portable eInk monitor offering professionals on the go paper-like visuals.
Featuring a 13.3-inch colour eInk display, you will get a 1600 x 1200 resolution when in colour mode and a higher 3200 x 2400 resolution in black and white mode. The screen also comes with touch support, letting you use both your fingers or a stylus to navigate, highlight and draw on it.

There’s a single USB-C port the bottom right, which you’ll need for video input and power, though because it’s an eInk display, whatever you have on the screen will remain in place even if you do pull out the USB-C cable, making it perfect for having your notes or points of reference on the side.

You’ll find a 60Hz refresh rate on the EP130K too, making it smooth enough to use as your secondary productivity screen, though perhaps not for gaming. One thing we should note though is that there’s no backlight on the display, but that also comes with the benefit of no blue light and no glare so reading text off it should be much more comfortable to your eyes.

Unfortunately at time of writing there’s no word yet on whether it’s coming to Malaysia, but Acer has at least confirmed the EP130K will be going on sale in North America, the EMEA regions and in Australia starting from Q1 2027.
