2. If the product needs to be repaired within 6 months after the end of original warranty period, kindly send the product to an authorized repair center.

Q: Do I need to register as a member to apply for “PriceCare”?

A: Nope. All shoppers with valid receipt issued by sellers with a PriceCare badge on PriceShop can apply for PriceCare and our team will review to ensure all documents are in place.

Q: I spent RM400 to replace the phone parts and an additional RM50 to replace the tempered glass sticker at the original service center after the warranty period. Am I entitled to both claims?

A: We will only reimburse the RM400 for the parts replacement. As the tempered glass is not part of the original product, it will not be covered under the reimbursement.

Q: I only claimed RM300 when I first applied for repair reimbursement, can I still claim the remaining RM200 for future reimbursements?

A: Sorry, PriceCare is a one-time claim, regardless of the claimed amount.

Q: I purchased multiple products from the same seller. Are all products entitled for PriceCare coverage?

A: Yes! You’ll need to submit multiple applications (with the same receipt) to ensure all purchased products are covered under PriceCare.

Q: I bought a smartphone as a gift for a friend, will the device still be covered under PriceCare?

A: Yes! As long as an individual is able to produce the unique case number provided upon successfully applying for PriceCare, he/she will be remain covered.

Q: I had my product repaired by a non-authorized service center, can I apply for repair compensation?

A: No. PriceShop Malaysia will only honor repair reimbursements conducted by authorized service centers.

Q: I have registered for PriceCare but realized that I’ve lost my purchase receipt. Will I still be able to claim?

A: Yes – we have records of the original receipt when you applied. As long as an individual is able to produce the unique case number provided upon successfully applying for PriceCare, he/she will still be able to claim.

Q: If my repair bill was issued during the original warranty period, can I claim reimbursement for the repair cost after the original warranty period is over?

A: No. The repair bill will only be accepted if it is issued after the end of the original warranty period.

Q: Can I join the PriceCare program if I shop at a non-listed PriceShop Malaysia merchant?

A: No. PriceCare is only applicable for sellers with a PriceCare badge on their listings (see image in first question for a reference).

Q: Are all products listed on PriceShop covered under the PriceCare program?

A: The PriceCare program is currently limited to items sold by PriceShop merchants with a PriceCare badge.

Q: What categories of items does PriceCare cover?

A: We cover all categories listed on our website.

Q: If my item costs RM300 and my repair costs come up to RM400, how much is the reimbursement?

A: We will only reimburse up to the lower amount of the item’s original purchase amount or authorized repair costs up to RM500, so in this case, it will be RM300.

Q: What should I do if I find a fault with the item within the official warranty period?

A: When you discover a fault, we always recommend checking the original documentation provided with the product and perform troubleshooting prior to registering a claim. However if the documentation cannot help with the issue, we suggest calling the number on the official website or on the documentation to seek professional advice from the manufacturer.

Q: When does PriceCare come into the picture for the purchased items?

A: PriceCare will come into effect the next day after the official manufacturer’s warranty period has ended and will last for the next 6 calendar months. (Note that PriceCare is only applicable for products with at least 12 months manufacturer’s warranty).

Q: Does PriceCare extend to repairs overseas?

A: No, PriceCare only applies to products bought and repaired in respective manufacturers’ official service centers in Malaysia.

Q: How does PriceCare work for electronics with different warranty coverage for different parts e.g. refrigerators with a 1-year warranty but the compressor has a 10-year warranty?

A: Our PriceCare team will take note of these cases upon application. In this case of the refrigerator, PriceCare will cover for repairs up to 6 months for standard parts and if there is a claim submission within this period, PriceCare will terminate coverage upon reimbursement. If there is no claims after 1.5 years, coverage will only be for the repair costs related to the compressor for 6 months after the 10 years official warranty period has expired.

Terms & Conditions

The “PriceCare” Program is only applicable to licensed products and products with original warranty, and the coverage period is effective from the first day after the end of the original warranty period. PriceCare covers the cost of repair and parts incurred by the original manufacturer or any authorized repair centers due to electrical, electronic & mechanical failure. The plan is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • PriceCare is only applicable to licensed products purchased from PriceShop Malaysia’s listed sellers with a PriceCare badge.
  • PriceCare is only applicable to consumer electronics with original warranty period of 12 months or more.
  • PriceCare can be transferred to a new owner provided you notify us in writing via email to info@priceshop.com with the details of the new owner and the original application number within 7 days of the transfer.
  • PriceCare is only applicable to consumer electronics that is used for personal purposes only and does not apply to products used for commercial, rental and/or for profit generation purposes.
  • Coverage under this plan is only valid for 6 months from the end of the original warranty period.
  • PriceCare coverage does not extend to any charges for non-original parts or from non-original authorized repair centers.
  • PriceCare does not cover any charges other than repair and parts charges of the original manufacturer or the original authorized service center.
  • PriceCare does not apply to electronics that had been serviced by the original manufacturer even after the warranty period has expired.
  • Each successful application only covers one (1) product. Multiple submissions are required if there are multiple products in a single receipt.
  • Products must be registered on via the official application form in order to be eligible for coverage, and each product can only be registered once.
  • Application for PriceCare has to be submitted within 60 days of purchase receipt issued date.
  • Repair receipts from the original manufacturer or authorized repair center must be submitted to PriceShop Malaysia via the claims form within the coverage period and must be within one month of issuance for reimbursement.
  • Repair receipts from the original manufacturer’s warranty or authorized repair center must be issued within the coverage period of the Plan and must be submitted to PriceShop within one month of issuance for reimbursement.
  • The PriceCare program for the covered products will automatically cease upon successful receipt of the repair compensation and no additional compensation will be made.
  • PriceCare will cease with no reimbursement in the event of the following: 1) expiry of the 6 months after official warranty period; 2) Upon a successful claim; 3) Unauthorized repair, modification or replacement of any parts or the product; 4) Discovery of fraud or misrepresentations; 5) Violation of any terms & conditions listed here.
  • PriceShop Malaysia will not reimburse any repair costs incurred for malicious damage to the covered products.
  • PriceShop Malaysia reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of all offers or to terminate the promotion without prior notice. In case of any dispute, PriceShop Malaysia reserves the right of final decision.
