The ZTE nubia Neo 5G has officially landed in Malaysia, competing in the vast arena of budget gaming devices already in the nation.

However, as part of the early bird promo, prices will drop to RM869 for the first 50 pre-orders. Additionally, all orders within the period are entitled to a Red Magic Turbo Cooler worth RM269.

ZTE nubia Neo 5G specs

The head-turner of the nubia Neo 5G is undoubtedly its two striking design options: War-Damaged Yellow, and Phantom Black. The design concepts take on a metallic and futuristic theme, with a Bionic Eye Form peering through the layers to lend it a three-dimensional illusion.

The device runs on a UNISOC T820 processor clocking up to 2.7GHz, granting excellent speeds and responsiveness. Piling onto performance is 8GB of RAM, which can be boosted up to 18GB via Dynamic RAM to cater to graphically demanding games; and 256 of storage.

You’ll get pretty good visuals with a 6.6″ Full HD+ (1080p) display, with up to 120Hz refresh rates for silky smooth gameplay.

Despite coming in at a sleek 7.98mm, the nubia Neo 5G manages to fit in a Multi-Layer Heat Dissipation System with a total heat dissipation area of 15416mm². As such, you’ll be able to go for long hours and achieve hard victories, all with the assurance of effective thermal efficiency.

As for batteries, you can expect to put in a decent shift with a 4,500mAh battery. This is supported with 22.5W fast charging.

ZTE has also incorporated Game Space into the nubia Neo 5G. Game Space gives gamers access to settings which they can adjust to suit their gaming preference. It allows gamers to toggle between Eco, Balance, and Rise performance modes, as well as sound enhancement presets to optimize audio experience.

Gaming aside, the nubia Neo 5G has a dual rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh depth camera. The front, on the other hand, sports an 8MP front camera in a middle teardrop format.

Other noteworthy mentions includes the DTS:X Ultra surround sound, a side-fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm earphone jack.

Once again, pre-orders will start on 16 July – 23 July. The nubia Neo 5G will officially retail at RM899, with prices slashed to RM869 for its early bird promo. You can put in your pre-orders on nubia’s official Shopee store here.
