You can now play Xbox 360 games on Android

If you’re currently in your mid-30s itching to play the games you grew up with again, then here’s the chance to do it on the go. Chinese developer Aenu has now unveiled the first ever native Xbox 360 emulator for Android, called aX360e.
If that name is familiar to you, then that’s because the developer is also the one behind PlayStation 3 emulator aPS3e. aX360e however is based on the Xbox 360 emulator Xenia. Xenia is only available for Windows and Linux users though, so had to be ported over to Android by Aenu. Also, because it started off as Xenia, most issues found in Xenia’s Linux ARM64 port also exist in aX360e.
One thing to note before you start trying out aX360e is that it won’t come with any games on its own. As such, you will have to find your own game files before downloading the emulator; aX360e currently supports GOD and ISO formats.
Also, as aX360e is currently only in public beta, you’ll have to sign up as a tester on the Play Store to try it out. There’s two versions to choose from: one is the free ad-supported version, while the other is a paid version with no ads that costs RM31.99.
Based on early community feedback, the emulator is still pretty rough but the announcement post did say that they need additional time to resolve issues, and that it’s an open testing phase for now. Once major issues are resolved, the developer will then open source the project with the complete official version of aX360e.
