Xiaomi makes flip phone debut in Malaysia with Xiaomi MIX Flip
On the same day they launched the Xiaomi 14T Series, Xiaomi Malaysia also announced that the Xiaomi MIX Flip too, will make an entrance in the nation. This is the brand’s first clamshell device to enter Malaysia, perhaps as a contender to turn the heat on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip features Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Helping in performance is 12GB RAM paired with 512GB storage, which is also the only configuration offered in Malaysia.
Like the Xiaomi flagship siblings, the MIX Flip will come with co-engineered Leica cameras. This comprises of a 50MP Leica main camera with Light Fusion 800 image sensor, and a 50MP Leica telephoto. You’ll find these integrated on the same panel as the 4.01″ quad-curved external display, which, on that note, offers 1.5K (1392×1408) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,000nits peak brightness.
Flip the front cover open and the MIX Flip reveals a 6.86″ CrystalRes display, this time offering 2912×1224 resolution and adaptive refresh rates from 1-120Hz. Peak brightness remains at 3,000nits.
Keeping the flip phone running is a 4,780mAh battery supporting 67W wired charging.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip is priced at RM4,999 in Malaysia, and comes in a single 12GB+512GB configuration. It is now available for purchase at Xiaomi’s official online store at mi.com, and on Xiaomi’s official Shopee and Lazada platforms.
