Xiaomi MiMo-V2-Pro: A ‘trillion parameter’ AI model built for the Agent Era

By Raymond Saw March 31, 2026

Xiaomi has just unveiled its latest large language model, the MiMo-V2-Pro, positioning it as a flagship foundation model designed for what it calls the “Agent Era”. The new model is built to handle real-world, high-intensity AI agent tasks going beyond simple chatbots into systems that can actually complete complex workflows.

At the core of MiMo-V2-Pro is a massive architecture with over one trillion parameters, including 42 billion active parameters. It also supports an ultra-long context window of up to 1 million tokens, which allows it to process significantly larger chunks of information in a single go—useful for tasks like coding, planning, and document analysis.

Xiaomi says MiMo-V2-Pro is designed to move AI from just answering questions to actually performing tasks. This includes things like workflow orchestration, long-term planning and using external tools autonomously. The model is built on a hybrid attention architecture and improved training methods that allow it to generalise across different agent scenarios.

In benchmark rankings by Artificial Analysis, MiMo-V2-Pro currently sits 8th globally and 2nd in China, putting it among the top-tier AI models available today. In practical terms, this means it can handle everything from writing code to generating fully functional web pages with minimal human input.

MiMo-V2-Pro is already live across several platforms, which include MiMo Claw for free access to the MiMo-V2-Pro experience, as well as integrated at the framework level with the WPS Office ecosystem. On top of that, Xiaomi’s mobile AI tool miclaw is now the first smartphone-based intelligent agent built on the MiMo model, with system-level execution and deep integration into their Human X Car X Home ecosystem. Xiaomi Browser users will also be able to find MiMo-V2-Pro integrated into the browser for an AI-powered search experience.

For developers interested in MiMo-V2-Pro, they’re partnering up with OpenClaw, OpenCode, KiloCode, Blackbox and Cline and offering global developers one week of free API access for a hands-on experience. Additionally, if you want access via API, it will cost you USD1 per million input tokens and USD3 per million output tokens for up to 256K context, while for up to 1M context it’ll cost you USD2 per million input tokens and USD6 per million output tokens.
