Xiaomi Malaysia teases upcoming Redmi Note 15 series, launching 15 January
Xiaomi Malaysia has begun teasing their upcoming launch, and it’s a crowd favourite: the Redmi Note 15 series. The ever popular midrange lineup is finally coming to our shores having been launched elsewhere late last year, and we expect to see a number of models catering to different users.
To be exact, the Redmi Note 15 series will be launching in Malaysia on 15 January at 4PM local time. They have not shared which models will be included in the lineup, but if it’s anything like the previous Redmi Note 14 series then you can expect at least four members of the Redmi Note 15 family to show up.
Starting off with the ‘classic’ Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 15 5G, we expect both of them to feature 6.77-inch AMOLED displays pushing a FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3200nits. The 5G model will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the 4G-only version gets the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra instead. They’ll also feature 108MP main cameras with 20MP selfie shooters, along with a 5,520mAh battery on the Redmi Note 15 5G and a 6,000mAh battery on the 4G-only model.
As for the Pro models, we expect to see both the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. Starting with the Redmi Note 15 Pro, it gets a 6.83-inch, 2772 x 1280p AMOLED display pushing a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200nits of peak brightness with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over it. It should also get a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra under the hood, alongside a 6,580mAh battery and a 200MP main camera on the back.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ meanwhile shares mostly the same specs. Key difference here appears to be its processor, with the Pro+ getting a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 instead. There’s also a slightly smaller battery at 6,500mAh, though it supports faster 100W wired charging versus the non-Plus’ 45W wired charging. It has a better 32MP selfie shooter too, compared to the Note 15 Pro’s 20MP front camera.
