Xiaomi Launches 11T Pro, 11T, 11 Lite 5G NE, Pad 5 and Buds 3 Pro
Yesterday, 23 September 2021, Xiaomi Malaysia officiated the launch of three new smartphones, a tablet and a TWS – the 11T, 11T Pro, 11 Lite 5G NE, Pad 5 and Buds 3 Pro here in Malaysia.
The devices have been designed to be affordable while not compromising on performance. The 11T series are the successors of their premium Mi 10T line-up of phones while the 11 Lite 5G NE is a revamped version of the Mi 11 Lite 5G.
These showstopping phones are the first of its kind without the “Mi” branding.
Xiaomi 11T Series
Powered by flagship processors, equipped with a pro-grade triple camera set while delivering stunning visuals on its 120Hz AMOLED display, it is safe to say the Xiaomi 11T Series continues to deliver great value.
The Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro have been said to be homogeneous in many respects. They are identical in built-and design, displays, and even shares the same triple camera set What is the difference between the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, you may be wondering?
Although they both have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support, the 11T Pro has an additional Dolby Vision support. This allows the 11T Pro’s display to deliver stunning brightness, contrast and colours for bright highlights, dazzling vibrancy and deep dark details like you’ve never seen before.
Another key difference between these two models lies within their processor choices – the 11T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 while the 11T Pro is backed by the Snapdragon 888. While both are indeed flagship processors, the Snapdragon 888 does outperforms the Dimensity 1200.
Lastly, it is also worth noting that the 11T Pro supports up to a staggering 120W fast charge while the 11T only supports up to 67W.
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
The ‘NE’ in the product name stands for “New Edition”. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is for the most part identical to the prior Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G with the key difference being only its processor.
Despite it being a ‘New Edition’, The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is in fact a step down in terms of performance as it is powered by a Snapdragon 778G instead of the Snapdragon 780 chipset found on the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G.
While this change undesirable for anyone looking to purchase a device for gaming purposes, the change actually improves the overall battery life of the device, making it great for casual daily usage.
Xiaomi Pad 5
Perhaps the most anticipated device during the launch – the Xiaomi Pad 5. Equipped with a large 11” WQHD+ IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and backed by a Snapdragon 860 processor, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is easily one of the best performing budget tablets available in the market.
The device is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Powering you through the day is a huge 8720mAh battery power with fast charging support of 22.5W.
Aside from a great visual experience, the Pad 5 also has Quad speakers (Dolby Atmos capable) with high resolution audio to deliver awesome audio experience directly from the device.
With an approximate weight of 500g, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is highly portable and we do foresee it being the go-to tablet for many people. As an icing on the cake, the Pad 5 also supports the Xiaomi Smart Pen.
Redmi Buds 3 Pro
In addition to the mobile and tablet launches, Xiaomi also announced its latest TWS – The Redmi Buds 3 Pro.
The Redmi Buds 3 Pro features hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and generate anti-noise sound waves that are able to reduce up to 35dB of sound. There are a total of four ANC modes and an additional transparency mode for different scenarios.
The earbuds is also support dual-device connectivity which allows effortless switching between two devices. Offers up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge, while in-case charging can extend its use for up to 28-hours.
