Xiaomi introduces new Mijia Air Conditioner Eco Inverter with promo pricing as low as RM1,299

Xiaomi Malaysia continues its push into home appliances, as the Chinese giant has just announced their new Mijia Air Conditioner Eco Inverter. This new addition expands Xiaomi’s growing ecosystem of connected home devices, bringing more energy-efficient cooling options to Malaysians.

Staying true to Xiaomi’s IoT-first approach, the Mijia Air Conditioner Eco Inverter integrates seamlessly into its smart home ecosystem. Users can control the unit via a mobile app or voice commands, making it easy to adjust settings without reaching for the remote. The air conditioner also supports OTA (over-the-air) updates and comes with built-in power consumption monitoring. This means users can track usage, optimise cooling preferences, and potentially reduce electricity bills over time.

There will be two models available, with a 1.0HP and a 1.5HP model. Xiaomi says the 1.0HP model can reduce energy usage by up to 24.3%, while the 1.5HP version achieves up to 20.9%. Designed for tropical climates, the unit features a 108mm large-diameter blower and delivers up to 700 m³/h airflow. With Turbo Mode enabled, Xiaomi claims the air conditioner can cool a room in as fast as 30 seconds. Despite the powerful airflow, it maintains low-noise operation, which should make it suitable for bedrooms and light sleepers.

It’s also been designed for minimal maintenance, though when the time does come it’ll alert you if it has a blocked filter. A quick release filter system makes cleaning easy, while the built-in self-diagnosis tool lets you check on potential issues early on. The anti-corrosion and moisture-resistant design further adds to its durability, with the air conditioner itself coming with a 3 year standard warranty and a 10 year compressor warranty.

The Mijia Air Conditioner Eco Inverter will be available from 24 March, 8pm onwards on the Xiaomi Malaysia website, as well as their official stores on Shopee and Lazada. The 1.0HP has a retail price of RM1,899 while the 1.5MP model is normally priced at RM2,199, but early birds can snag it for just RM1,299 and RM1,599 respectively.
