Xiaomi 13T Pro vs POCO F5 Pro: Spec Comparison
Today, we pit two mid-range smartphone contenders with slightly varying price ranges: the Xiaomi 13T Pro, which was launched in September 2023, and the POCO F5 Pro, which launched earlier in May of the same year.
For the uninformed, POCO was the mid-range line under Xiaomi when it first launched in 2018. The brand eventually became independent in 2020, standing strong on its own two feet ever since. Nevertheless, you will still find POCO smartphones listed under the Xiaomi official website, but they each have their own Shopee and Lazada stores.
Although the Xiaomi 13T pro is the more expensive option, the POCO F5 Pro does have its advantages that really makes it a mid-segment favourite. Here’s how they fare against each other.

Starting first with the processors, this is a MediaTek vs Qualcomm battle that’s pretty hard to separate. According to Versus, both share much of the spoils in overall rating. However, it must be added that on NanoReview’s SoC ranking, the Dimensity 9200+ on the 13T Pro ranks higher at #5, compared to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 which ranks at #10.
It doesn’t come as much surprise, since the 13T Pro has the larger price tag and would undoubtedly have a higher cost.
Displays are one area which will divide opinion. Though they are both even in size with a 6.67″ AMOLED display, the 13T Pro has the higher peak brightness at 2,600nits, together with a much more gamer-friendly max refresh rate of 144Hz (compared to 1,400nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rates of the POCO F5 Pro).
On the other hand, the POCO F5 Pro boasts a higher display resolution of 1440px, which makes it the best option for content viewing.
Now onto cameras, if you remember, the Xiaomi 13 Series that was launched earlier this year all came with cameras decked with Leica technology and filters. You’ll be glad to know it’s the same with the 13T Pro, with Leica extending its magic touch to the 50MP 1/1.28″ main camera, 50MP 1/2.88″ telephoto camera, as well as on its 12MP ultra-wide lens.
The POCO F5 Pro does not have such collaboration on its camera, but it does hold its own with a 64MP main camera flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera.
I guess the question boils down to how much of a photography enthusiast are you to care enough about sensor size and iconic Leica photography.
When it comes to battery and charging, the POCO F5 Pro seems to pull out all the stops. For starters, it does have the larger 5,160Mah battery vs. the 5,000mAh on the 13T Pro. And while the 13T Pro does have a the significantly faster 120W charging against the 67W of the POCO F5 Pro, the POCO F5 Pro does support 30W wireless charging while the 13T Pro does not.
Another noteworthy difference is the stronger IP68 rating on the 13T Pro, versus the IP53 rating of the F5 Pro.
Other than what’s mentioned, both devices are on par in other aspects, such as NFC availability, fingerprint sensors, and speakers.
