1. Celcom Digi Bhd

Axiata Group Berhad and Telenor Asia announced that they are in advanced discussions on the merger of the telco operations of Celcom Axiata Berhad (“Celcom”) and Digi.com Berhad (“Digi”) (“MergeCo”).

This merger will see both Parties having equal ownership estimated at 33.1% each. Axiata together with Malaysian institutional funds will own over 51% of the MergeCo.

Nevertheless, end-users need not to worry about the merger as they’ll still be able to choose to stick with either Digi or Celcom.

3. Yahoo Answers Shutting Down for Good

Yahoo has announced that it will be shutting down Yahoo Answers for good on 4 May 2021, 12pm (+8 GMT). Before the official shutdown, Yahoo Answers will be set to read-only-mode on 20 April 2021, 12pm (+8 GMT).

Yahoo Answers in recent days have become more an avenue for memes rather than real solutions and answers. As such, perhaps its shutting down is for the best.

Following the announcement, we did see an influx of new troll questions and responses. You’ve got a little over a week left to leave a mark on the site, so hurry!
