vivo Y36 5G launches in Malaysia with RM1,099 price tag

vivo Malaysia has released the vivo Y36 5G today. Their latest mid-ranger comes with a RM1,099 price tag, with first sales starting today (13 June) until the 16th of July.

During this period, all purchases of the vivo Y36 5G will come with a TWS earphone worth RM99 and a 1+1 extended warranty worth RM199.

If you wish to put in your orders, you may do so at vivo’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada.

The vivo Y36 5G utilizes a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset with 5G compatibility. There will only be a single 8GB + 256GB memory variant available, with the option to pile on another 8GB of virtual RAM via Extended RAM 3.0.

You can expect decent usage time with 5,000mAh battery capacity, supported with 44W FlashCharge for quick charging.

The Y36 5G sports a 6.64″ LCD display with FHD+ resolution. Since it is an LCD display, you’ll have to make do with a side-fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display sensor. There’s also a 16MP centred punch hole cutout which houses the 16MP front camera.

At the rear, on the other hand, is a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera.

The headline colour of the Y36 5G is Semporna Green, inspired by the crystal clear waters of the Borneon island. But there’s also a Mystic Black version if you wish for something more subtle.

For connectivity, the Y36 5G supports Wi-Fi 5, has Bluetooth 5-1, as well as NFC. It is also IP5X dust resistant and IPX4 water resistant.
