Vivo X300 Series Launches Today: Here’s What to Expect and Where to Watch

Vivo will debut its upcoming X300 Series in China in a matter of moments, before rolling out the flagship to other regions around the world, with Malaysia highly likely to receive the phones in November (based on past track records).
Like its predecessor, the X300 Series will come in two variants: the base X300 and the series-topping X300 Pro. Both will feature direct upgrades in terms of chipsets, moving from the Dimensity 9400 to the Dimensity 9500 SoC.

However, it seems there will be a significant difference in size this time around. While the X300 Pro is set to retain its 6.78″ OLED display, the base model is expected to be much smaller, with a 6.31″ OLED display. This is a notably smaller form factor compared to the X200, which sported a 6.67″ display. If reports about the X300’s 6.31-inch display are true, it’s unclear what vivo’s plans are for the FE model, given that the base model now occupies the ‘small phone’ category.
That being said, both the X300 and X300 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution display and 120Hz refresh rates.

Cameras are one of the major highlights of vivo’s X Series, and the company looks to double down on that effort by upgrading the main camera of the X300 to a 200MP sensor (up from 50MP on the X200), flanked by a 50MP Sony LYT-602 periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide.
The Pro model, on the other hand, retains the 200MP periscope telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP main camera setup. However, the main camera’s sensor does get an upgrade from the Sony LYT-818 to the Sony LYT-828.

The batteries also differ substantially, with the X200 packing a 6,040mAh capacity, while the X300 Pro understandably gets a larger 6,510mAh capacity. Both phones support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
The vivo X300 Series will launch imminently in China on 13 October at 7 PM, and will be livestreamed across the brand’s official platforms globally. If you’re interested in tuning in, you can head over to PriceShop’s official Facebook page, where the event will be aired via vivo’s channels.
