vivo X300 Series Debuts in China with Dimensity 9500 SoC and a New Camera Kit

vivo lifted the veil on its X300 Series flagship offerings in its home country of China yesterday. As expected, the series consists of the base X300 model and the series-topping X300 Pro.
The X300 Series is the direct successor to the X200 Series, which means step-ups in specs across the board, including the Dimensity 9500 SoC that powers both models in the series. Additionally, both phones are equipped with IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.

An interesting change this year is that the base X300 model is now only 6.31 inches, compared to its predecessor, the X200, which was 6.67 inches. Prior to this, Vivo’s only phone with a 6.31-inch form factor was the X200 FE and X200 Pro Mini. With the X300 now occupying the “small phone” slot, it’s unclear if the X300 FE (if it exists) will have similar dimensions or if Vivo will upsize the FE model to a ‘lite’ version of the X300 Pro.
Nevertheless, the X300 will feature an LTPO AMOLED panel, a 1216×2640 resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a 6,040mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

In line with the X series, the highlight remains its cameras. The X300 features a 200MP main camera with OIS, flanked by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, as well as a 50MP ultra-wide shooter.
In terms of connectivity, the X300 supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Moving on to its superior sibling, the X300 Pro retains the 6.78-inch display with an LTPO AMOLED panel, a 1260×2800 resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a larger 6,510mAh battery, with the same 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support.

In the camera department, the Pro model highlights its 200MP periscope telephoto lens, which features the upgraded Sony LYT-828 sensor offering 3.7x optical zoom and OIS. A 50MP OIS main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens complete the lineup.
Connectivity is notably better, with the X300 Pro supporting up to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0.
In addition to the phones, Vivo also revealed a camera kit for the X300 Series, sold separately. The kit includes a case, a camera grip, and a long physical lens for extended zoom. While we expect the X300 Series to arrive in Malaysia eventually, it’s unclear if the photography kit will be sold here as well.

The local launch date for the X300 Series has yet to be confirmed, and pricing is still under wraps. To recap, the X200 and X200 Pro launched with a single 16GB/512GB configuration, priced at RM3,599 and RM4,699, respectively.
