It has been almost a full year since vivo’s ultimate flagship release of the X200 Series. As we approach Q4 of 2025, it’s no surprise that teasers of the next iteration are starting to permeate the tech sphere.

In this case, vivo’s product manager himself, Han Boxiao, has made strong claims about the X300 Series models – particularly regarding the X300 Pro’s leap in camera technology.

On his official Weibo account, Han revealed that the X300 Pro will feature an upgraded telephoto module – a visibly larger one at that – even going so far as to compare its size to two unnamed ‘mainstream sensors’ believed to be from competitors. In a bold claim, Han even branded the X300 Pro as the “new king of telephoto lenses” (direct translation).

Backing up those claims, the X300 Pro will also offer greater optical image stabilization than its predecessors. The metric here is that the X300 Pro’s telephoto lens achieved a CIPA score of 5.5—a significant jump from the CIPA 4.5 score on the X200 Pro.

For the unfamiliar, CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) is a standard method for measuring image stabilization performance. The higher the rating, the more stable the camera is. In other words, stable shots for us folks with shaky hands – even in low-light conditions!

Another noteworthy point is that vivo’s collaboration with ZEISS is set to flourish further. Han pointed out that the ZEISS T* Coating, along with the APO-certified lens, will minimize chromatic aberration—which simply means less distortion and more true-to-life photos.

vivo has not yet set a date for the reveal of the X300 flagship series. Given its track record, Malaysia should be one of the first in the region to receive the X300 Series, which we expect to arrive before year-end.
