vivo X200 Series with ZEISS cameras, Dimensity 9400 chip and 6,000mAh battery now in Malaysia
It’s been a blazing quick year for vivo. After countless V Series and Y Series launches, the company has now deemed it the right time to unveil the X200 Series. The phones representing the flagship X Series are the vivo X200 Pro and X200, both of which are successors to the X100 Pro and X100 respectively.
This year’s iteration sees the continued collaboration between vivo and ZEISS. The main push for the series still remains the ZEISS-enhanced cameras, particularly in the telephoto lens.
To be specific, the X200 Pro’s array consist of a 200MP 1/1.4″ ZEISS APO Telephoto, a 50MP main camera backed by the Sony LYT-818 sensor, and a 50MP ultra wide lens.
The base X200, on the other hand, gets a 50MP 1/2″ ZEISS Telephoto, a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, and a 50MP ultra wide lens.
Although both have the benefit of ZEISS T* Coating, only the Pro variant comes with vivo’s proprietary V3+ chip specifically designed to handle the computational aspects of photography.
Beyond cameras, there are plenty of similarities between the base and Pro models, including the Dimensity 9400 chipset. Both models will also get a suite of AI features, including AI Erase, Live Call Translation, AI Note Assist, and Circle to Search.
In terms of dimensions, the X200 Pro is slightly taller with its 6.78″ LTPO AMOLED display. It offers 2800×1260 resolution, 0.1 – 120Hz refresh rates, and 4,500nits of peak brightness, accompanied by P3 wide colour gamut.
The X200, however, sports a 6.67″ AMOLED display with the same 2800×1260 resolution and 4,500nits peak brightness. Similarly, refresh rates also reach as high as 120Hz.
You’ll get 90W wired charging on either models, but the X200 Pro has the larger 6,000mAh battery compared to the 5,800mAh on the X200. Other than that, they both have IP68 & IP69 resistance against dust and water.
For colourways, you have the choice of Carbon Black and Titanium Grey for the X200 Pro, and Aurora Green and Midnight Black for the X200.
The X200 Series are officially up for pre-orders until 22nd November. The vivo X200 Pro (16GB+512GB) officially retails at RM4,699, while the vivo X200 (16GB+512GB) retails at RM3,599. It is available at vivo’s official website, as well as vivo Concept Stores.
