vivo launches its latest x70 series and TWS 2 series

The latest vivo X70 series and TWS 2 series have arrived in Malaysia. The official launch that took place yesterday saw the unveiling of the elegant and revolutionary X70 and X70 Pro devices.

Unfortunately, the X70 Pro+ will not be available in Malaysia at this point in time. In other words, we’ll not be receiving a Snapdragon 888+ powered device.

Instead, both the X70 and X70 Pro devices will be powered by the flagship Dimensity 1200 processor.

X70 Series Key Highlights

While the X70 series is a relatively strong performance phone backed by a Dimensity 1200 processor with 8/12GB of ram and further complemented by a beautiful AMOLED display with high refresh rates of 120Hz, its ultimate strength remains in its photography and videography capabilities thanks to its custom Sony IMX766v sensor.

1. Pure Night View

Thanks to the ZEISS T* Coating, you can now capture photos with less ghosting and stray lights. Simply point, shoot and bask in the glory of the night.

2. ZEISS Style Portraits

The 12MP portrait camera now allows you to snap up to four different styles bokeh effect. Depending on your portrait photo background, you can now opt for the dreamy, swirly or creamy bokeh effect instead of the classic bokeh.

These additional styles will add more flare and personalisation to your portrait photos.

3. Super Night Video & Pro Cinematic Mode

The camera improvements are of course not limited to photography. With the Sony IMX766V sensors, the X70 series is also more capable than ever in capturing videos under extreme low light conditions.

Furthermore, the device comes equipped with a Pro Cinematic Mode, putting a spectrum of functions at your fingertips to give you a proper director’s chair treatment including a Full Monitoring System and more.

TWS 2 Series Key Highlights

Along with the X70 series is the new TWS 2 series which comes in two variants: TWS 2 ANC and TWS 2e. Both earbuds shares the same exact design but varies a fair bit in functionality and features.

The TWS 2 ANC was the focus during the launch event as it is the higher end model that RM369. As its name suggest, this model comes complete with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation.

All in all, the TWS 2 Series promises great quality sounds with crisp highs and mids all whilst not lacking in strong bass thanks to its 12.2mm bass driver.

The TWS 2 ANC possess all key features you’d expect from a premium TWS. Everything from active noise cancellation, transparency mode, low 88ms latency, gesture controls and great battery performance.

But what excites us the most is that the TWS 2 ANC supports multipoint connection which allows you to seamlessly switch between 2 devices when needed.

When you receive a call on your phone while connected to the video on your computer, TWS 2 ANC automatically streams your call, then back to your computer after you hang up*. It’s perfectly seamless.
