U Mobile Ultra Postpaid: Up to 1000GB data with free Ultra5G Priority Pass, from RM45/month
Alongside their new prepaid plans, U Mobile also showcased their brand new Ultra Postpaid plans, featuring up to 1000GB of monthly data, unlimited speeds and their new Priority Passes.
Just like their old postpaid plan, there are three tiers: The Ultra Postpaid 45, Ultra Postpaid 68 and Ultra Global 98. The base plan is now a little more expensive than the old U Postpaid 38, but comes with much more data than before, with 500GB of monthly data to use. You also get one Ultra5G 3-hour Priority Pass with your plan.
As for the Ultra Postpaid 68, you now get 1000GB of data, two Ultra5G 3-hour Priority Passes with 15GB of free roaming and incoming calls in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. Ultra Global 98 meanwhile offers the same amount of data, but your roaming and incoming calls now covers over 60 countries, and you get three Ultra5G 3-hour Priority Passes.
All three plans come with unlimited domestic voice calls, while for hotspot it taps off your main monthly data pool. There’s also 3 months of free Ultra Security Pro coming soon for their Ultra Postpaid users, which is essentially their more advanced version of Ultra Security with added cyber insurance, identity protection and device security.
In case you missed it, these Priority passes is basically 5G network slicing that lets users be moved into its own ‘special network lane’ for better and more consistent reception. U Mobile says this is best used in crowded spaces like in transport hubs or at concerts. Additional Priority passes are priced at RM2 per hour or RM5 for three hour passes. You will however need to be connected to the Ultra5G network and be using a compatible 5G SA device to use Priority access. When you’re connected via Priority Access, your device will show ‘Priority’ in the network operator display.
Ultra Family 128
Alongside the regular postpaid plans, U Mobile also revealed their new family plan, the Ultra Family 128. This postpaid mobile plan features up to 4 lines, priced at RM128. You’ll get 1,000GB of data for all four of the lines to use, along with unlimited calls and free 15GB global roaming and incoming calls from abroad in over 60 countries for all 4 lines.
You won’t have to activate all 4 lines at one of course; you can activate them as and when needed. Additional lines are also available at RM38/line, with a maximum of 3 additional U Family Share lines. You’ll also get three months of Ultra Security Pro and three 3-hour Priority passes per line.
