U Mobile Expands ULTRA5G Coverage to Bangi, Putrajaya, and PJ New Town

U Mobile has announced that its ULTRA5G experience is now available across Bangi, Putrajaya and PJ New Town. These areas represent the latest additions to U Mobile’s 5G deployment roadmap, with full outdoor coverage and ongoing expansion indoors.
The ULTRA5G network combines both 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) technologies, offering users enhanced mobile experiences such as high-quality video calls, smooth streaming, and lag-free gaming even in busy public areas. U Mobile’s rollout is ahead of schedule, with the ULTRA5G service now also active in 30 buildings nationwide, covering a mix of commercial, governmental, hospitality and healthcare spaces.

In Bangi, ULTRA5G covers the corridor from Universiti Tenaga Nasional to Bandar Baru Bangi, including residential, commercial and industrial areas. Full campus coverage for UNITEN is expected by December 2025. Putrajaya enjoys extensive coverage across its precincts and administrative zones, including prominent landmarks such as Seri Perdana, PICC and key public spaces like Putrajaya Lake and Botanical Garden. In PJ New Town, coverage extends from Kampung Sungai Way through Seksyen 51A, Jalan 222, and Seksyen 52, including the area around the Taman Jaya LRT station.
Businesses in these locations are also encouraged to explore the potential of 5G solutions to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Customers can identify the ULTRA5G network via the name ‘UM ULTRA5G’ on supported devices.
