Tune Talk Introduces Cross-Border Support for Families in Indonesia via App

Tune Talk has rolled out a new feature within its mobile app that allows users in Malaysia to support their families in Indonesia with essential services. This includes the ability to send prepaid mobile credit, purchase PLN electricity tokens, and make gas payments — all directly through the Tune Talk app.
The telco said this move was driven by the large number of Indonesians who currently live, work, or study in Malaysia, many of whom regularly send support back home. By integrating this function into the app, Tune Talk aims to simplify how users manage cross-border needs, turning the app into a one-stop platform for essential transactions.
Once inside the app, users can easily access the cross-border feature and perform top-ups or payments in real-time. Tune Talk also assured that the service runs on enterprise-grade infrastructure to ensure reliability and speed.
“We believe technology should bring people closer, especially in times of need,” said Karim Hamid, Head of Modern Trade at Tune Talk. “With this service, we’re enabling Malaysians to care for their families in Indonesia in the most direct way possible — keeping the lights on, keeping phone connected, and ensuring daily essentials are covered.”
