To reel in the festive season, Touch ‘n Go has teamed up with local creative brand Loka Made to introduce Limited Edition Chinese New Year NFC cards.

There are two CNY-themed cards available, each centred around a festive gathering that forms a complete image when placed side by side. According to Loka Made’s official website, the designs were inspired by the rustic charm of Pekan Nanas and Simpang Renggam in Johor.

Aside from the difference in festive scenes, each card is emblazoned with a different well-wish in Chinese characters at the top right. The first card displays ‘Fortune’, while the second card displays ‘Prosperity’.

U Mobile has cut the ribbon on its largest flagship store to date, located conveniently on the first floor of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. Specifically, you’ll find the store at Level 1, Lot F1.26.

This is only the telco’s second flagship store, with the first established in Berjaya Times Square. According to U Mobile, the expansion is in line with the telco’s plan to grow its retail footprint in Malaysia to meet the increasing demand from its postpaid, broadband, and enterprise segments.

U Mobile’s latest flagship store in Sunway Pyramid spans 3,500 square feet. Here, customers can register for postpaid, prepaid, and broadband services, as well as perform bill payments. Additionally, customers can purchase prepaid starter packs and top-up vouchers, or make service enquiries.

Beyond its services, the new flagship store leverages 5G and AI technologies to provide an immersive retail experience for customers. This includes Malaysia’s first in-store dome, which combines high-quality video, audio systems, VR, AR, and mixed reality technology to enhance the retail experience.

There’s also a HoloBox, which employs holographic projections that customers can interact with, including a holographic avatar of Stacy Anam, U Mobile’s brand ambassador. The HoloBox also serves as a photo booth, which then projects the photos onto the immersive dome.

Apart from that, there’s also the U Home Zone which showcases a Smart Home concept while highlighting the key benefits of U Mobile’s family-centric plans, such as U Family 128 and U Home 5G bundles.
